We are bringing a dairy cow and two bull calves for beef onto the homestead next weekend!!! Before getting them, we had to figure out how to shelter them and provide water. With the options of repairing an old barn and well on our property, or building a new barn closer to our house/water source, we settled on the temporary solution of a pallet cattle panel shelter. We hope it will last us a couple years until we decide if we want to continue having cows and whether we should invest in the existing barn, or a new one near our house.
