Sudan is experiencing a temporary reprieve from the violence that has exploded across Khartoum in the past week. The capital's residents say that fighting had eased by Friday evening, as the Sudanese army and paramilitary group RSF agreed to a three-day ceasefire to allow people to celebrate Eid. In addition to the temporary truce, RSF said it would allow airports to temporarily open during the 72-hour window to faciliate the evacuation of foreign nationals.
