My 1969 442 with a stock 400/325 HP engine. It has Fel Pro head gaskets which lowered the compression to 9.85-1, Edelbrock Performer intake with an unblocked cross over, Ruggles/Edelbrock 850 cfm Q-jet, Lunati .485"/.485" 211/220 duration cam, recurved HEI distributor, Ram Air Restorations 2 1/2" outlet exhaust manifolds and 2 1/2" exhaust. I've never seen any dyno testing of a 400 Olds (especially the long stroke version) so I thought I should post this. Stock numbers were 325 HP and 440 lbs ft which would be 260 HP and 352 lbs ft if you use a 20% loss through the driveline. Mine is close to that and might have been closer with more tuning. Timing was at 36 degrees and A/F ratio was 12.5-1 so potentially it could have made a little bit more power. Final numbers were 240 HP and 340 ft lbs.
