The ASX 200 ended the day up on Thursday by 0.04 per cent.
According to Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood, it is now the sixth straight time the Australian share market has ended the day up.
“But only just … closed up by just two points, it was close to 7,100, the best it’s been in three weeks,” Mr Greenwood said.
“Real estate stocks and the bank sector both moved their market higher.
“There was a big, big fall in health care sector; it was down almost 4.5 per cent today.”
