Chou states the misconception that business can’t be both responsible and profitable has been disproven by many successful companies, however, this movement of ubiquitous corporate social responsibility is causing society to become complacent. Although business is moving in the right direction, the small changes they are making are not nearly enough to combat the current declining state of the earth.
Grant Chou is a junior finance major and sustainability minor from Los Altos, California. He chose to attend Santa Clara University because of its Jesuit values, and seeks to incorporate those values into a progressive business perspective. He is passionate about people, dance, and working towards a more sustainable and equitable future.
