Mboweni says the tax revenue shortfall for the current financial year is projected at R300-billion.
This can be attributed to the tax relief measures provided as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the lockdown.
Mboweni says the revenue shortfall also results from delays in tax collection of approximately R44-billion.
