A brawl between the supporters of former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah and party leader DK Shivkumar appeared to have started ahead of elections. And it all began with Siddaramaiah's fans organising a lavish birthday party for their charismatic leader, who held the office of chief minister from 2013 to 2018. But now, Shivakumar's team has also asked for the party chairman to attend a similar event. The supporters of Shivakumar have requested in writing that the state committee plan festivities akin to those for Siddaramaiah. To commemorate Siddaramaiah's birthday, his followers have organised a month-long celebration. The Shivakumar camp is concerned about this.
