Facts about: Class 317
48 Class 317, built by BREL (British Rail Engineering Limited) was constructed to replace the Class 127, 302, 310 and 312 units in 1981/1982, but now since the roll out of the new 100+ Class 720’s are running on the WAML which means the shortage of these units
All 48 sets were all released in 1983 on the 28th March
