DUDHI CHANA DAL NU SHAAK

PREP TIME: 5-10 mins
COOKING TIME: 15-25 mins
INGREDIENTS:-
• 1 Cup Split Chana Dal (soaked)
• 500 Grams Diced Bottle Gourd (dudhi)
• 2 nos. Dried Red Chillies
• 2 nos. Cinnamon Sticks
• 8-10 nos. Curry Leaves
• 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
• ½ Tsp Asafoetida
• ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
• 2 Tsp Dhana Jeera Powder
• 2 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
• 1 Tsp garam masala
• ½ nos. lemon (squeeze)
• 1 TspJaggery
• Salt as per taste
• Handful Coriander Leaves
• 2 tbsp Oil
• Water as required
METHOD:-
• In a pressure cooker heat some oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, dried red chillies, cinnamon and curry leaves.
• Add bottle gourd and chana dal.
• Cook for 2-3 minutes.
• Now add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
• Add lemon juice and jaggery.
• Add an adequate amount of water and stir well.
• Cook for 2-3 whistles.
• Garnish with some coriander leaves and Dudhi Chana Da Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
