Learn all about the use of simulation as an innovative teaching tool in educating healthcare professionals. Simulation provides a safe place for learners, whether novice or expert, to explore and practice in a safe environment in order to gain confidence for real-life situations they will encounter in future practice. Methods may include role-play and the use of low-tech and high-tech computerized human manikins that can perform dozens of human functions realistically in a simulated healthcare environment. Presented by the Simulation Center at the University of Kansas school of Medicine-Wichita.
