In their announcement about the new National Broadband Map, the FCC estimates that there are more than 8.3 million unserved locations that need access to high-speed Internet service. Will they $42.45 Billion in the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program be enough money to reach all of those areas? We do a quick calculation based on some prior broadband funding announcements to see how far those funds might go.
