The Craniofacial Re-construction with Titanium Implant Service that was developed by SIRIM is an implant building system. It can restore original shapes of craniofacial, joints, bones and jaw that were impaired due to accident or natural causes. Titanium, with the help of computerised CAD system, is used to create certain shapes that will be utilised in craniofacial implant and orthodontic to replace an impaired craniofacial and joints. Plastic materials are also being used to replace damaged cartilage. Via this technology, impaired human parts such as craniofacial, joints and bones can be restored to its original shapes.
