Crash is at 00:52
Shoe2 separates in two, and the fuselage crashes hard. The wing floated down to the ground undamaged except for some minor crushing of an aileron on impact.
Aft of the steel payload was mostly fine, but the steel came forward on impact and demolished the gearbox, receiver pack and firewall.
We stayed up for the most of the night at the hotel, but the following day Shoe2.5/Jimmy Express (thanks WSU!) flew the final two missions without incident for a 20th place finish. (we think, hopefully the official scores get posted soon)
This is also the third incident we've had in that area of the course in Tucson. In 2009 we lost a rocket, and on Mission 1 this year we had a mysterious failsafe for a second or two.
