German president Christian Wulff used his first Christmas address to call for more tolerance and engagement in society. In a speech that highlighted the country's multicultural nature, Wulff said Germany's values were respected around the world. The president also abandoned tradition by inviting model citizens to his Bellevue Palace in Berlin for the recording.
