Well this was a fun test. Sony Fdr x3000 vs Dji Osmo Action 3. You'd think the action 3 completely crushed the Sony Fdr. But I must honestly say that for most people there are not huge differences. When you look at the specifications, the Dji Osmo Action 3 should be superior in all areas. But you actually need a somewhat trained eye to see big differences. And the differences are so small that most people don't care.

Sony FDR X3000 Summary:
The Sony FDR-X3000 is a compact 4K action camera that was released in 2016. It features a Zeiss Tessar lens with a wide-angle of 170 degrees, advanced image stabilization technology called Balanced Optical SteadyShot, and can shoot up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

The camera also includes a built-in stereo microphone, as well as a 3.5mm microphone input for external audio sources. It is waterproof up to 60 meters with the included housing and has a built-in GPS for geotagging photos and videos.

According to DJI, an improved thermal management system allows for continuous 4K60p recording until the battery dies without any overheating issue. For capturing the highest dynamic range possible, the D-Cinelike picture profile is supported in video, slow-motion, and time-lapse mode. You can also record 10 bit (D-cinelike)
