🔻 First area (The Center) :
Akdeniz is a municipality and district governorate in Greater Mersin, Turkey. Most of government offices as well as the seats of Mersin governor and the mayor are in Akdeniz. Akdeniz also hosts most of the business quarters of the city. Mersin railway station, harbor, free port and maritime authority, as well as, shipping and customs agencies are in Akdeniz.
🔻 Second area :
Yenişehir is a municipality and district governorate in Greater Mersin, Turkey. This part of Mersin has a new texture and modern buildings with larger restaurants and shops. Yenişehir is closer to Mersin University, so it is the best area to rent apartment for students who come to study here.
🔻 Third area :
Mezitli is a municipality and district governorate in Greater Mersin, Turkey
Mezitli is known as a district of middle class residences. Most of Mezitli citizens are either retired or active working people.
🔻 Fourth area :
Tece district is connected to Mezitli district of Mersin province. It is also located in the Mediterranean Region
Mersin is one of the 30 metropolitan centers in Turkey with more than one municipality within city borders. In Mersin there are four second-level municipalities in addition to Greater Mersin (büyükşehir) municipality.
