Within the first hour, several voters, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Ministers Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, have cast their votes in the vice presidential election. Votes will be counted later in the day after polling terminates at 5 pm, and the next vice president will take oath of office on 11 August.
