The Incoloy name applies when the material is produced by Special Metals Corporation. UNS designation is N08800. Nominal composition is 45% Fe, 32.5% Ni, 21% Cr, .38% Ti, and .38% Al.
It is an austenitic solid solution alloy that cannot be strengthened by heat treatment and is not magnetic. This alloy is typically used where enhanced corrosion or oxidation resistance compared to stainless alloys is required and at temperatures where the strength of the higher nickel alloys is
