Toronto Pearson International Airport is Canada's busiest airport and one of the Top 30 busiest airports in the world. In 2016 Pearson handled 44.5 Million passengers as well as 456,000 aircraft movements. An airport this large and busy would have not only a significant economic impact to Toronto and the region it serves, but it would also have a significant environmental impact as well.
Eric Novak, Editor in Chief of EnviroDad.com visited Toronto Pearson to meet with officials from the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to learn about how the airport manages and works to minimize its overall environmental footprint, as well as how it is working within the realization of a changing climate and how it will need to adapt going forward.
