Almost every Engineering sniper I see is usually running with the T0-R0 Ionic Discharge tactical. I used to as well, but personal experience and this video serve to explain why I've stopped using it in arenas in favor of Ruthless Interrogation. T0-R0 makes it so Explosive Probe can only be detonated by EMP Discharge. Sniper is probably the hardest spec to survive an arena in, and there have been so many times where I've died right before I could detonate Explosive Probe (which would result in a kill) and thus it got wasted. Similarly, in this arena there were multiple Explosive Probes placed on me that never detonated.

The tactical is still the best one for warzones. If you die in a warzone you just respawn and might be able to trigger Explosive Probe if you get back fast enough. However in an arena where when you die, there's no coming back. If you can't detonate Explosive Probe, it's wasted damage.
