Is it time to smash another auction record? Maybe! This big blue diamond is the largest to come to auction in recent years. Weighing 15.10ct - we may be looking at a record breaker! Given the craze for rare fancy coloured diamonds, this will be one to watch...
ADDENDUM: This is not the biggest blue diamond to ever come to auction!! This title currently belongs to The Wittelsbach diamond, which weighed 35.56ct before being recut to 31.06ct and renamed the "Wittelsbach Graff". This diamond has been graded Fancy Deep Blue. The De Beers Cullinan Blue is the largest Fancy Vivid Blue to ever come to auction. I apologise for my mistake - I can't believe it. I've been to lectures on the Whittlesbach graff and still... wow.
Hello, gem & jewellery professionals!
