The daughter of a Chechen oil oligarch has got married in a stunning £240,000 wedding dress.
Student Elina Bazhaeva, 21, married entrepreneur Bek Ali Khan Mamakaev, 25, in the city-state of Monaco in a showstopping glittery wedding dress and a huge train.
The eye-catching ensemble was made by Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad and cost 20 million roubles (£242,000).
The couple met in February this year and Mamakaev proposed to Bazhaeva just two months later.
The groom graduated from university in London and is fluent in six languages. He is the heir of Alikhan Mamakaev, the head of the Dorchester Finance group and Alima Cosmetics, and co-owns some of his father's companies.
Bazhaev also comes from a prominent family and is the daughter of businessman Musa Bazhaev, 49, president of the OJSC Alliance Group.
The wedding took place at the exclusive Le Louis XV restaurant in Monte Carlo.
Only 100 guests attended - small by Chechen standards - and the groom was present in the celebration hall instead of being kept apart from his bride.
The bride and groom were seated at their table, despite the bride traditionally standing.
Bazhaeva's parents, Musa and his wife Luisa, follow Chechen traditions by not attending the ceremony.
Chechen weddings are traditionally paid for by the groom and attended by his family members only. They are seen as a sad occasion by the bride's family.
Bazhaeva's older sister Marjam got married six months earlier in a more traditional ceremony with 600 guests.
