Wayanad: Gramin Dak Sevak workers are coming together to fight for better wages. They have formed an organisation for the purpose. Their main demand is the implementation of Kamlesh Chandra report submitted in 2016. More than half of the postal employees in the country are GDS workers, but they aren't part of the postal services. They are paid pittance as wages even after working for 20 and 30 years.
