Location = Whirlwind Maze (Crater). If you beat this part of the game, you will have to use an older Save File, otherwise, you're boned. Keep this in mind!

So, if you're trying to get an Earth Mallet (it's a rare drop, only 14% chance), don't Steal during the battle. For some reason, it also messes with the drop chance, from my experience.
Earth Mallets can only be obtained as a drop from the Gigas, fought only on the first screen of the Whirlwind Maze. If not obtained here, it is permanently missable.

Gigas:
Rare Drop = Earth Mallet
Steal = Gigas Armlet

I recommend farming at least 2 Earth Mallets, so you can turn them into 99 with the W-Item Materia, which you can get at the End of Disk 2.
