Part 1 covers virus size and the size distributions of respiratory droplets and aerosols that carry viruses. Since making this video, I added the following text to the slide on transmission modes, addressing the definition of droplet (larger than 5 microns) vs. aerosol (smaller than 5 microns) transmission: "The origin of the 5-µm cutoff is not known. This cutoff is not supported by modern aerosol science. This distinction has hampered our understanding of transmission."
