Today, I shall be exploring the topic of sailors tattoos, and what they mean in a traditional sense
This is not an extensive list, nor is it the only meaning behind each tattoo, the meanings behind the tattoos mentioned is what is commonly accepted by historians and sailors alike, some of the explanations for tattoo meanings are what I have learnt from my own naval experiences and from word of mouth from other sailors and veterans.
