Had my Umarex HDR 50 out today to see how accurate the .50 Cal Rubber balls are at 10 & 12.5 metres, and a short review. Black hard rubber balls compared to the Yellow soft rubber training balls. Black hard rubber definitely more consistent and accurate than the Yellow soft balls. The Black balls were not too far from the three inch wide Tin targets, and with more practice could hit most of the six tins. I believe that because the yellow balls are so soft (they can be compressed with two fingers) they are distorted by the blast of Co2 as they go down the barrel, which affects the way they exit the barrel. So yellow balls for training, and the harder Black balls for some types of target use.
Will be testing some Chalk balls in the future, but I think they will perform similar to the hard Black balls.
