A deadly terrorist attack by knife-wielding assailants in Kunming, China left 33 dead (including four of the attackers) and over 140 injured. The attack is presumed to have been carried out by Xinjiang separatists. Dr. Sean Roberts, an associate professor at GWU's Elliott School of International Affairs, joins The Diplomat to talk about the Kunming attack, how China might respond, and what it all means for the Uyghur population in Xinjiang and the rest of China.
