Qualcomm's SVP of Engineering, Alejandro Holcman, discusses how the company is actively overcoming the challenges of using millimeter waves to connect mobile users with cellular basestations, a big step in deploying commercial 5G services in the next few months. He said we will definitely see this technology in smartphones by the first half of 2019 and that Qualcomm is working with OEMs now to make it happen.
