Today I show you how I modified my cheap Prusa i3's Y axis.
!!!!!!!!!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU START !!!!!!!!!!
You will need to print the following parts.
I used ABS at 50% fill 0.2mm layer height.

y-motor.stl x 1
y-tensioner.stl x 1
y-corner'stl x 4
y-belt-holder.stl x 1
and 2 of these [ Ссылка ]
You will also need
4 x M8 threaded rod apron 210mm long
22 x M8 nuts
22 x M8 washers
4 x M10 nuts
4 x M10 washers
2 x M3 x 25mm bolt
3 x M3 nuts
2 x M3 washers
1 x 3mm think Aluminium plate (same size as the PCB heater)
1 x 2mm thick Cork sheet (same size as the PCB heater)
Super glue
Kapton tape
Small round file
Open ended spanner to fit M10
Open ended spanner to fit M8
Open ended spanner to fit M4
and all the parts from the original printer. Throw NOTHING away until you are done.
I managed to pick up all the parts for around £20. I don't think that's a lot of cash to upgrade the whole Y axis assembly.
As always, if you have any questions just let me know
Enjoy

This video is a low budget, low quality production showing what modification I did to my printer.
Any items I used that were not mentioned were recovered from the original printer.
Your printer may be different to mine so you may not be able to reuse the same parts as I did.
I am not reasonable for any damage or injury you may cause to your printer / yourself.
