Florida leads the best-of-7 series 3-0 and is a win away from the first trip to the Stanley Cup Final since 1996.

On Monday, Sergei Bobrovsky got his first career playoff shutout in his 64th postseason game. He made 32 saves in the win, his 10-1 since Game 5 against the Boston Bruins in the opening round.

Since the third period in Game 1, Bobrovsky has stopped 112 of 113 shots.

sam Reinhart got the only goal of the night.

The Panthers will play host to Game 4 on Wednesday at 8 p.m. (TNT)

In Game 2, Matthew Tkachuk scored his second, game-winning OT goal of the series 1:51 into overtime after Sasha Barkov tied the score at 1 in the second period with an amazing goal.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 37 saves for his seventh consecutive road win of these playoffs as he improved to 6-0 in OT.

Since the third period of Game 1, Bobrovsky has stopped 80 of 81 shots.

On Thursday night/Friday morning, the Panthers beat the Hurricanes 3-2 in quadruple overtimes.

Tkachuk won that one with 12.7 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime to finish off the sixth-longest game in NHL history.

Florida also got goals from Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe with Bobrovsky making 63 saves.

The game was the longest in the franchise history for both teams eclipsing losses in the Stanley Cup Final — Florida in Game 4 against Colorado in 1996 and Carolina in Game 2 against Detroit in 2002.

Panthers’ coach Paul Maurice was coach of the Hurricanes for that loss in 2002.

This is Florida’s first trip to the ECF since 1996 where it beat Pittsburgh in 7 to advance to the only Stanley Cup Final in franchise history.
