This is a Glacial Geek 8th Edition Warhammer 40,000 Battle Report!
Lemartes walked along hanger floor of the Imperial Navy ship observing the Vostroyan Firstborns getting ready. He had flown over from his own ship to take in the Astra Militarum forces his Blood Angels would be fighting alongside. They had been tasked with collecting some vaguely described items for the Inquisition, but had not been told why they thought there might be trouble enough to send out a force of this size. As he he watched the Imperial Guard forces load their horses into the landers he received a vox call from his own ship.
"My Lord! Our scanners have picked up a Dark Angels Battle Barge in orbit on the far side of the planet. All attempts at hailing them have gone unanswered. What are your orders?"
Lemartes paused for a moment, "Tell our men to prepare for landing. I believe we have discovered the true reason that we have been sent here in particular."
