This video showcases insights from a global study, 'shock-responsive social protection systems'. The study aims to strengthen the evidence base as to when and how social protection systems can better respond to shocks (such as droughts, floods, or economic crises) in low-income countries and fragile and conflict-affected states, so that the negative impacts of shocks are reduced and there is less need for separate humanitarian responses.
