DMK MP Tiruchi Siva said that the Opposition is ready for a discussion on the Manipur issue provided all the House business were suspended and PM Modi must come to Parliament. The DMK MP said that PM is accountable to the Parliament that too when the session is on. Tiruchi Siva said, “An impression is being created deliberately by the government that the Govt is ready for a discussion and opposition are not accepting to that. It is not so. We are for a discussion. But in what manner is the issue in question. Rule 267 what we talk about, just to enlighten the people, “Suspend all the business of the day and take it as a first preference. Number 2, along with that the PM should come to the House for us to initiate the discussion. The PM is accountable to the Parliament that too when the session is on. The PM with utmost responsibility on a very burning issue should come to the Parliament, that is our insistence.”
