So I managed to squeeze in a cover after refinishing my drumset just before I left for exchange! Unfortunately I had problems (AGAIN) with my top down camera angle, so its a little bit weird and blur and all, but I still included it because I think it makes the cover more entertaining. (It was such a pain to edit though, cause the frame rates were different and even the timing was different??)
This is a wonderfully biblical song from Steven Curtis Chapman's "Worship and Believe" album. The lyrics seem simple on the surface, but when you really think about each line deeply, I love how they so richly point to the magnificence of Jesus, in whom is all the glory of God revealed unto man. I super strongly encourage you guys to check the rest of the album out too.
I've done this song live a couple of times, and honestly its quite challenging to play it the way the record plays it without the whole band being on click. Also, I usually speed it up 1 or 2 bpms and change it up a little to give it a bit more energy. But really, the hardest thing I feel about this song is really LOCKING IN and making it groove (because of all the space in the song). So this is my humble interpretation of the song, nothing too fancy, hope it blesses you!
Also, Tom heads are like a little over 3 years old (as instagram reminds me), I found them lying around and figured anything will sound better than the beaten up stock heads that came with the kit!
