Episode: "The Changeling"

An advanced alien space probe of immense power is on a mission to destroy all life forms in the galaxy that fail to meet its criteria for perfection. Bizarrely the probe is under the impression that it is the space probe Nomad that was created by a team headed by human scientist Jackson Roy Kirk and that it was indeed launched from Earth. Because they share the same name, Nomad is under the impression that Captain Kirk is its creator.

This is another episode in which Kirk converses with a computerised threat to induce the system to suffer a catastrophic breakdown, overload or self-destruct! - Silly, I know but I love it! :-D.
