NO MORE WDP-4 FOR UDYAN EXPRESS!!!
Post electrification of the Pune - Daund section, many trains have started getting electric locomotives instead of diesel locomotives.
The latest news is of the Udyan Express that runs from Mumbai to the 'Garden City of India' - Bangalore.
The regular link that everyone was used to was a WDP-4 from Krishnarajapuram shed. However, for the past few days this train has been getting a Kalyan WCAM-3 locomotive from Mumbai CST to Daund Junction. So today morning I decided to go and capture the train.
The video shows you the 11301 Mumbai - Bangalore Udyan Express with a Kalyan WCAM-3 (21957) in the lead. See how the locomotive accelerates with the 22 coach train as it passes Ghatkopar station on the Central Railway at 8:35 am.
It was really nice seeing the Udyan Express with a WCAM-3.
