Foresight Friday @ NIOSH offers a variety of programming to advance the role of strategic foresight in occupational safety and health (OSH) research, service, and practice. Strategic foresight is a practice rooted in futures studies that includes the development and analysis of plausible alternative futures as inputs to strategic plans and actions. On January 7, 2022, Dr. Sarah Felknor presented findings from the first NIOSH strategic foresight project. This project, which concluded September 2021, envisions four plausible futures and their implications for OSH.
