New Delhi: Though the CPM's Central Committee on Sunday ruled out, by majority vote, any "understanding or electoral alliance" with the Congress in its draft political resolution, party General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said the final decision will be taken in the party Congress slated to be held in Hyderabad in April. From the 17th party congress in 2002 onwards, the CPM has been maintaining a stance against poll tie-up with Congress. However, considering teh growing influence of the BJP in national politics, a section of party workers called for mobilising "all secular democratic forces".
