In this video I install the AVS Light Shield Bug Deflector. AVS gives you color matching options for your trucks paint for a nice blending finish. Unfortunately I couldn’t wire this the way I originally intended do to the lack of options available on the truck. Depending on what package you have on your RAM you may have more fuses available. If your truck isn’t equipped with said option you will not have a fuse available. With that said I originally wanted this to turn on and off with my headlights/ day time running lights. On the newer 5th Gen Rams those fuses are no longer accessible. The only option I had was to wire it to the ACC fuse. Another option would have been to try and take the headlight out and tie into the wires there. I decided not to go that route do to the complications of getting the headlight out and the possibility of breaking tabs. In all the finished product looks good and functions. I could use a toggle switch to have the unit turn on and off which I might look into later down the road but for now this will work. Lastly I discuss a little about AGS (Active Grill Shutters) what they are, how they work, and the new tune that will delete them. More on this when we get closer to that install.
