President Park stressed the importance of a competitive service industry and said Korea is working on lifting regulations on seven promising service sectors such as tourism and education.
She proposed a project to analyze regulations in service industries across the region.
President Park also called for more efforts for regional economic integration, reaffirming Korea′s willingness to push forward the implementation of the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific.
The FTAAP is led by China and supported by the 21 APEC members and when established, it would be one of the largest free trade agreements in the world.
