Oberst-Gruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich, still imprisoned since he tried to get Hitler assassinated, is woken up and informed that Germany is at war with Japan, San Francisco has just been destroyed by an atomic bomb, and that the Pacific Sates is under invasion. Asked by Smith to spare his family, Heydrich replies that their fate is in the hands of the new Führer - Martin Heusmann, the leader of the plot, and the man who has just assumed power.
