Ingredients for chicken filling:
700g Chicken mince
1 tbsp Green chilies (chopped)
1 tsp Red chili flakes
Salt to taste
1 tsp Black pepper powder
1/2 tsp White pepper powder
1 cup Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Red chili powder
1 tbsp Garlic (chopped)
1/2 cup Cream
Ingredients for cheese stuffing:
Cheddar cheese (grated) as required
Red bell pepper (diced) as required
Capsicum (chopped) as required
1 Egg (beated)
Ingredients for puff pastry:
800g Flour
400g Unipuff
1 & 1/2 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp Oil
Water as required
Flour (for dusting) as required
Direction for puff pastry:
In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar, oil and water as required knead it, dough should the normal consistency.
Now cover it with the cloth and keep it side for half hour.
Now measure the unipuff (required 400g) your unipuff should the on room temperature, then with the help of cutting board place cling on it and put unipuff on it.
Tap unipuff with your hands until soft and flat.
Now cover it with cling and roll down and make it perfectly flat and keep it aside.
Then spread the flour on the surface, now bring the dough and flatten it and make a rectangle shape.
Now place the flat unipuff on dough and cover the sides and making it b bookshape, then with the help of rolling pin flat it and roll down.
Slowly and patiently spread it like rectangular shape, then cover it with the cloth and keep it aside in fridge half an hour.
Do this process at least for three times, every time you have to roll down the dough, then make book shape and keep it aside for half an hour.
Bring the dough and roll down with the rolling pin and make a rectangle shape, your puff pastry is ready.
Directions for chicken filling:
In a pan add oil, garlic, onion and cook until translucent for a minute.
Then add chicken mince, green chilies, chili flakes, salt, black pepper, white pepper, turmeric, red chili powder and mix well. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
Lastly add cream, mix well and your chicken filling is ready.
Assembling:
Roll down your puff pastry, cut small circles with help of a cutter.
For chicken patties: add a spoon of chicken filling and cover it with another puff pastry circle.
For cheese patties: add chicken filling on puff, top it with cheese, bell pepper and capsicum.
Then place a round shape puff on top.
Brush patties with egg and bake in a preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes at 180 degrees.
Your chicken patties and chicken cheese patties are ready to serve.
Preparation time: 20-25 minutes
Cooking time: 40-45 minutes
Serving: 6-7 persons
