Chicken mixed in a garlic flavoured mixture, shaped into balls and cooked in the oven. This is a healthier version since it cooked in the oven instead of being deep fried.
Try this delicious recipe as a starter when you have people over.
CHICKEN GARLIC BITES
Ingredients
2 boneless chicken breasts, cut into small pieces
1½ tbsps chopped garlic
1 tbsp garlic paste
½ green chilli
5-6 fresh mint leaves
Few sprigs of fresh coriander leaves
¼ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
Oil to grease
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Put chopped garlic and garlic paste into a bowl. Chop green chilli, mint and coriander leaves and add.
3. Add red chilli powder, salt and egg and mix well. Add chicken pieces and breadcrumbs and mix well.
4. Grease a baking dish. Shape the chicken mixture into small balls and place in the dish. Prick a toothpick on each ball.
5. Keep the dish in the preheated oven and cook for 20 minutes or till done.
6. Serve hot with garlic sauce or any sauce of your choice.
