Author Ramchandra Guha has profiled 10 early Indian advocates of the environment, including poet Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi’s disciple Madeleine Slade, former PM Jawaharlal Nehru’s advisor Verrier Elwin, former minister KM Munshi, and economist JC Kumarappa.
