Yesterday was a first for me: the first time I have seen an Antonov An-124. Usually it's quite a rare occurence over the U.K. but it has been flying between RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and Sarajevo International Airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina fairly frequently for the last few days.
It was a shame that the wind direction meant it didn't take off from the other end, but we did get a nice close up view and a big dosage of jet wash behind its 4 engines - each of which are capable of producing up to 51,000 lbs of thrust!
Aircraft: Antonov An-124-100M
Registration: UR-82009
Callsign: ADB3459
Depature time: 1510 hrs
Departed to: Sarajevo (SJJ)
