What is compassionate leadership?
Do we have to be in positions of power to show it?
Sometimes having a compassionate idea can make a difference.
Let me share with you an example. I was on the phone with an international group of people helping Ukraine. I was so struck with the power of an idea that I had, and it made a difference. All of us have this power. If you have an idea of how to share and spread compassion, here are 5 things you may consider:
1. If something happened in your circle of friends or community and you would leave, what would be left behind? What will be missing? It is about what you bring and what you are compassionate about.
2. What do you value? What’s most important to you?
3. Are you working in a workplace that aligns with your values? Are you living, leading and working compassionately?
4. What changes would you make to be able to say that? What would make your life and work more purposeful and meaningful?
5. How would you like to contribute your skills, gifts and talents to this world? What ideas do you have that you are passionate about that you’d like to take one step further?
You don’t need to be famous or come from a powerful place to make a difference. Your power can be in sharing your ideas. Use your power. The world needs you and what you have to say.
How would you define compassionate leadership?

I would love to hear from you.
