Rock Lake-Solomon Creek Wildland Park is located in front ranges of Rocky Mountains; elevations range from the 2385-metre peak of Boule Roche to 1005 metres, where Solomon Creek leaves the park before entering the Athabasca River; habitats include dense lodgepole pine & white spruce forests, mixed & aspen woods, tall shrub communities, grassy slopes & wet meadows; the park provides winter range for elk, deer & bighorn sheep and is also home to moose, grizzly & black bears, cougars and wolves.
