Hello and thank you for clicking on this video. I make mapping animations on this channel. These animations show the borders of countries over periods of time and any wars that take place. Each belligerent has multiple hues of a colour to distinguish different levels of control. These are:
Darkest hue - Integral territory
Dark hue - Occupied territory
Lightest hue - Gains for the day
Along with this, there are different colours depending on the relations Paraguay has with that country at the time. These are:
Green - Allied in a war
Red - Enemy in a war
Aquamarine - Part of military alliance
Lastly, red borders represent border disputes.

Changes in timeline:
1. Paraguay wins the battle of the Riachuelo. With this victory, Paraguay gains naval dominance in the Paraná and Uruguay rivers. This also allows them to move troops from the Paraná river to the Uruguay, culminating in a decisive victory at Yatay.
