The Battle of Homestead Foundation event on May 4, 2019 presented speakers: Guillermo Perez, Steelworkers labor educator and founder of Pittsburgh Labor Council of Latin America Affairs and Monica Ruiz, Director of Casa San Jose Center in Pittsburgh. They spoke about the serious immigration problems impacting families who have been separated at the border and the challenges they face when they come to Pittsburgh.
